December, 2017, North Pole Express

Four sections: static scenes at the North Pole, visitors at the North Pole Express, train crew and North Pole Express staff in and around the North Pole, and numerous locomotive scenes including preliminary boiler washing.

November, 2017, Work Weekend

The November work weekend's primary activity area was the South Station. After 4 weekends of Midwest Haunted Rails, it is quite an effort to transform the South Station from a place that gives the visitors the creeps to a warm, inviting, seasonal wonderland for the North Pole Express.

The volunteers completed the packing of the MHR paraphernalia and started unpacking NPE paraphernalia.

During Old Threshers Reunion and Midwest Haunted Rails operations, a small section of No. 12's firebrick moved out of position.

No. 6's left-side steam chest was opened for inspection. Besides exposing the slide valves on both sides, the packing was removed from both piston rods and throttle rod.
